I have wanted a pair of proper winter boots for a few years now. After a freezing yard supervision (I'm a teacher in Eastern Ontario), I bit the bullet and spent the money on Sorels. They were worth the money! My feet have been so cozy and warm and dry, and I can actually walk through the ice and snow without praying not to fall. My one "negative" comment is that the boot rubs a bit on my ankle, but 1-never to the point of pain or blisters, 2-only when I'm driving, 3-I have sensitive ankles, so this is to be expected for me.
Another great thing is that so far, these boots go with whatever I'm wearing: jeans, dress pants, dress. I look forward to getting years of use out of these boots!

The Tofinos are very comfortable, they fit more like a running shoe than a boot. I always wear a size 5 in shoes and boots, but in this boot, I had to go up 1/2 a size in order to accomodate thicker socks as well as give my feet some room. I found the shoe ran slightly short for a size 5 as well as it is quite narrow. The look of the boot is fashionable and goes really well with leggings and skinny jeans. If you looking for a less bulky winter boot, this will definitely work.

I ride horses in the winter in Alberta Canada. My feet are always cold after 1 hour even with thick socks. I needed a good boot that fits in a western saddle stirrup and keeps those toes warm for at least 2 hours. I had originally tried Kate the Great boots based on a review but when I saw them I knew I'd never get them into the stirrups. The Tofino is made 'sneaker sleek' and is incredibly cute in Chile red, but are they warm enough? After 2 1/2 hours at 0 C (32 F) my toes were just starting to get cold. The boots fit fairly true, perhaps a tiny bit small if you intend to wear more than 1 pair of socks. One thick pair of socks work perfectly for winter horseback riding at the freezing mark for temps and are more than enough for walking in the cold.

I bought myself an early Christmas present and ordered the Tofino's in Chili red. I love them. I've worn them hiking in the snow with heavy socks (I had to buy a half size up than I usually wear to accommodate the socks), with my Yaktrax and they are toasty and appear to be as waterproof as they advertise. I'm not much of a "fashion boot" person, but I wore them to work the day after a snow storm and wore them comfortably all day with just regular socks. Last week when my 25 year old daughter came by, saw the boots, tried them on and said "Can I have a pair for Christmas" I knew these boots were winners.

I just moved to Colorado from Florida and good boots were one of my first investments. I bought these Sorels in grey and they are perfect. They are so warm, have great grip even on slick surfaces and completely waterproof. I've already gone through knee high snow in them and my feet stayed warm and dry. Not to mention they are adorable.
I got a 1/2 size up like recommended and they fit perfectly. I have enough room for thick socks, but my feet don't slide around when i don't wear them.
I've seen past reviews saying the fur looked cheap... but in the grey it looks great. I love everything about the boots.

Although I haven't had a chance to test these boots in the snow and cold, they fit great, are comfortable, and light weight. I usually run between a 7 and 7 1/2. I decided to go 7 1/2 and they fit perfectly, with just enough room for a thicker sock if necessary. I got them in red. Look out Dorothy!

I am very new to chicago winters (this will be my 1st) and I wanted to prepare myself for the freezing weather that is to come. I was told to get Sorel boots so I bought a pair and couldn't be happier...They are super cute and feminine yet have kept me warm walking the mile distance from my house to work...I tend to be very cold sensitive..without these boots my feet and hands are numb within 10 minutes of walking. Although the "real" chicago winter hasn't hint, I'm no longer worried about my feet getting frostbitten!!

I suggest ordering 1/2 size up if one needs to wear a little thicker sock. Otherwise, it fits perfect with the average sock or tights.

I love the fit of this boot, it's true to size and it's very comfortable. I also find the boots very warm, even in the cold Canadian winter. Although they are still in great shape I decided to retire my old snow boots of 18 years. I wanted something with less bulk. I have been trying on boots for the last month and a half.
When these arrived it was love at first sight. They are attractive (even the guy at the windshield repair place commented on them) but I have already found them to be practical as well. In the last week I have worn them for walks in the snowy woods of Northern Wisconsin as well has in temperate river walks in Illinios.
I wear a 6 1/2 but have a wide foot. It is not easy to find a well fitting boot or shoe. While these fit snuggly enough to hold my foot stead, there is also enough room to use my orthopedic inserts. It is wonderful to walk out doors for several hours and not suffer from foot pain OR cold. With these boots I don't have to choose one or the other.

I bought these shoes expecting the name Sorel to hold its standard. My first and only adventure in these shoe on a snow packed trail in Colorado my socks were damp after only a mile hike. This morning at the hut I stepped out into six inches of fresh snow for five minutes to collect snow to melt for water, after reentering the hut my socks were definitely wet!!! I am so sad the leather is not waterproof! If you are looking for fashion these shoes are for you. If you are looking for fashion and durable waterproof winter shoes, I suggest you find another shoe!

Had ordered another pair of Sorels but they were WAY to wide and heavy....the Tofinos are perfect! Fit like a shoe, I always wear 9.5 and ordered these in 9.5, perfection!! Get compliments on these everyday!! Will be great for the SDakota winters!

I just got my boots the other week and can't wait to wear them in the snow. After reading another persons' review I decided to go to a store and try these and the Joan of Arc to compare before I bought online - these were SO much more comfortable than the Joan of Arc. I have a bit of a walk to work so these will be perfect. The Joan of Arc (at first I thought was a little cuter) felt as though you had to stomp in them - there was no flexibility to bend your ankle. The Tofino is just as cute, but way more comfortable and practical. I love the green color that I got - just slightly different and I am really looking forward to wearing them!!

I really enjoy these boots. They have a more petite toe, as opposed to the traditional Sorel look, which is more flattering. I wore them with my skinny jeans and they looks adorable, not to mention, VERY warm. I've yet to wear them in wet snow, but I sure hope they're waterproof (as advertised). You can't beat the price!

Kudos to my husband for recommending Sorel for winter boots. His exact comment was, "They are the best at what they do." He was right. Not only are these boots great looking, but they are warm and fit beautifully. I am a 6.5 normally and ordered a 7. They fit a bit small so I ordered a replacement 7.5 (amazing customer service at Sorel!) and they fit and feel great. I can certainly keep up with my 3 boys in the snow and look super stylish while doing it!

I usually have the worst luck in finding a durable pair of winter boots but I'm convinced these will be great! I recently purchased the 'Chili Pepper, Black' Tofinos and they fit perfectly. My size always fluctuates between a 7-8, depending on the make of the shoes/boots, but 7.5 was right on. It's snug, has a wow-factor look and the price is reasonable.. if they survive this winter without any leaks or tears. For now, I think these are a practical pair of boots but hopefully I can come back by the end of the winter to give them a solid 5/5.
In regards to the look, I think the red is just enough to grab peoples' attention. Its not too overwhelming and not too dull. I was debating between the 'Black, Oyster Grey' and 'Chili Pepper, Black' but the red's definitely different and out of the usual classic black boots.

They were beautiful when I opened the box but although they were my size length-wise they were too tight over the instep. I'm trying again, ordering a half size larger. Also one of the insoles was too long and bunched up. That would have been fixable if they had fit.
If the next pair are okay I'll change my review. On the plus side I have large calves and the tops were fine.
It's just a shame I have to pay for return shipping though.

Ditch to cheap faux fur!

I am an 8.5 in other Sorel's and ordering a 9 in these is just a little too much room. HATE the faux fur... would be nice if it was either non existent or removable. Sorel should use better quality faux furs considering what is availble in the market today. This stuff looks like matted faux fur from the 70's - tacky.
Functionally a great boot though so keeping them. Personally, I wanted the Cate the Greats but the calf is so big in a 9 that the eyelets were touching and looked ridiculous (I have a 16.5in calf so not sure why these are so huge).
I would recommend this product.

I saw these boots (in black/grey) at the store and couldn't find my size so I purchased them online. They arrived in less than a week and when I opened the box, I fell in love with these shoes all over again. Not only are they great for rain and snow but they are extremely cute and fashionable. I've worn them multiple times and have received numerous compliments. They are very comfortable and I have no complaints.

There boots are very comfortable. I usually wear a size 8.5 but bought a 9 which fits perfectly. They have enough room for thick socks but are warm enough that I probably won't need them. Well worth the price and I would recommend them to anyone.

I've been searching for winter boots that were both highly functional in the snow as well as cute enough that I can wear them out on the town on a winter day. The fit was very true to size. The boot begins a bit stiff and needs to be broken in but after two or three wears it should be fine!

I just moved in Nunavut and the temperature can get to -60C here. It is presently around -20C (and we are only in the month of November). My feet are very warm in my Tofino boots! I love them. They are comfy, practical and very cute! If those boots are warm enough for the Canadien North, they sure will be for any other part of the world! BUY THEM!

I was very happy with the purchase of my red Torfino Sorel boots. I like that they're more feminine when compared to the traditional Sorels, even more narrow. I usually wear a shoe size 7.5 or 8 if it's a really narrow boot. But with this shoe, I went with the 7.5 and I thought it fit perfectly -- so I would say it's true to size. I love the red color. It's not too bright and it's not too muted. It's a perfect fashionista red. It's the type of boot I would wear even if it's not snowing out to make a fashion statement. But the only complaint I have is the faux fur part is a little "cheap" looking. I wish the faux fur was made with a slightly higher quality...but maybe it needs to be brushed out from the box? I didn't do that yet. But I wore them once already and I've gotten raving compliments. For $140 I think it's a great deal compared to my UGGS winter boots!

I haven't had a chance to wear them out yet because it's not cold enough but they fit great! I only wore them around the house for about 20 minutes and I can tell they're going to be VERY warm!! I would definitely recommend these boots for a good pair of winter boots :)
