How to Measure Your Foot

  • Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this standing and wearing socks
  • Measure the length (cm) straight from your longest toe to the back of your foot using a ruler or measuring tape.
  • Use the chart to find your size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cate the greatest I have these boots in black and grey and love them. Bought the black 2 years ago but did not wear them because the winter was very mild. I put them on this year and loved them. I just went out and bought the grey so I have an option. They are warm and stylish. The higher style is best for me as I like my calf covered when out in the cold. Please keep this style ! February 11, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Built-in obsolescence I've wanted these boots for years and finally bought them, but plan to return them after seeing them in person. Instead of the usual metal D-rings that Sorel typically uses, the laces are held by a little string. Over time the laces will rub on the string, causing it to fray and then break. I know because this exact issue happened to another product I have (see picture). Sorel could have easily used a sturdier method to make the boots last longer without compromising the design, like mini D-rings, but instead they will last a couple years and then break after the warranty has expired. I don't have the money to keep buying a new pair every few years, especially at this steep price. Sorels are supposed to last! Sorel, please make a boot that looks like this and lasts like a real Sorel, for those of us who want fashion AND function. These boots are great except for this huge design flaw. January 2, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by definite dissapointment I bought last seasons boots in August of last year (2011) and was super excited to have a nice warm pair of boots (that looked fantastic!). I was severely disappointed. My feet get cold at -6 / -10 while going on long walks...I could understand this happening while standing still, but not while going for a walk! I've tried both synthetic and wool socks and nothing has helped the cause. I have an old pair of Sorel's from the early 90's which are ugly, but incredibly warm, so when it came down to buying a new pair, Sorel was my first choice. I will definitely re-think this next year, as I don't think these will make the cut through another winter - which you would hope that a $250 boot would carry you through at least 3 seasons! The design of these are a bit flawed as well, as the loops holding the laces are fraying (one's already snapped! after one season only!!). I am not particularly hard on my boots, so I was really disappointed when this happened. And beware that the sizing runs large!!! I'm a 7, so I purchased a 7...they are a full size too big (which is odd because I've tried on a 6 and it was too small.....?). December 10, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cate the Great = Practical with a WOW factor! I've wanted these boots ever since I saw them last season! I was a little concerned when I read certain reviews about blister factors and how heavy they were... I found out after speaking to the store owner where I bought them that these issues were taken care of with the newer model. I usually wear size 11 but I fit perfectly in a 10 :) Yes they are a bit large at the ankle but that's fine especially when wearing a thicker sock or having to fit around a wide pant leg. The warmth factor is great for walking and they have good traction, but I do find them to be slippy on ice (that's what crampons were made for!) Oh ya and they're beautiful!!! I'd recommend these to anyone. January 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE LOVE LOVE I had been eyeing these Fabulous boots up all season and finally got them today on sale!!! I love the style and the quality is the same as the pair of sorels i bought 10 years ago. I did have to go up a size from 10 to 11 but they fit perfectly! i was so please with how wide the tongue of the shoe is as i have larger legs and with the addition of some longer laces everything is tied up right to the top and covered. If you are looking for a practical, stylish and durable winter boot this is it! January 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 Perfect snow galavanting boot! These boots are FANTASTIC... they are the perfect snow boot for galavanting in the snow! I wore pretty thin socks and they kept my feet toasty, warm and comfortable. I'm a small person, so I'm usually looking for boots that don''t look too overwhelming. They do fit slightly wide at the ankle, however, I find it perfect for stuffing the bottom of your jeans into They also go with all my winter jackets. The soles are great on ice as well. I don't find myself worrying about slipping. I highly recommend this boot!! January 22, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by So far, so good! I just got a pair of these last night because I had defective Caribou's, and won't get another pair for fear the same thing will happen (crack at toe letting moisture in). I am pleased with how these fit- my feet feel more comfortable, and the fit is snug but not small. They feel light for their size, and they are very warm. We had -19*C windchill this morning after a small snow storm, and I was toasty with simple cotton socks. I do find that snow builds up in the lower leather flap, but it doesn't take much to get it out. They are also easier to take off compared to the Caribou's. Very happy with my purchase! Looking forward to wearing these over the years. December 28, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Boot I live in Saskatchewan so I need warm clothing. I have a 15 minute walk to work and I like these boots. I've had them for about a month now and I find the boots to be light enough for walking, warm enough for cold days (-28C with WC today and my feet were warm), yet they are stylish. November 21, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gorgeous and warm Fashion meets function. To the haters that find them heavy or bulky, welcome to a REAL winter boot. The heavy materials keep your feet warm and dry. They fit absolutely true to size in my experience. I wear a size 9 and bought a size 9. Perfect fit. I would not recommend sizing down if you wear a whole size, maybe if you normally wear a half size that would make sense. I recommend a thin wool sock like a running sock, that will avoid the chafing and rubbing cotton would bring and keep your feet drier. I love these boots! November 17, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fits True to Size Purchased the Grey/Kettle Cate the Great Boots and LOVE them! Had a chance to try them out today (first snowfall of the year). Very warm, very dry! Originally purchased a size 9 as the reviews said they run small but trust me, if you are a half size, go bigger. I sent them back and ordered the 10. I could get into the size 9 but my toe was touching the end of the boot. I am a size 9.5 and the 10 fits great. You should have a bit of extra room in winter boots to fit heavy socks but also to create air pockets for additional warmth. Too small = cold feet November 7, 2011
