Reviews

Men's Caribou® Wool Boot is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 230.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rugged boot, smells funny I tried these on in the store and ended up a 1/2 size smaller than normal. I wear 11.5 in everything, and went with the 11 in these, which makes a good snug fit with a thick wool sock so my heel doesn't move. The boots are extremely warm the second you put them on, and are extremely waterproof. I was able to drive with them, although carefully. After a month of owning, my only complaint is the smell. I know it's weird, but the rubber has a very strong rubber smell and it actually sinks up my entire apartment. I don't want to keep them outside. I tried putting them in a garbage bag, and that didn't work. So I'm not sure if I will end up keeping them, which is unfortunate.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good boots but... ..the sizing is bonkers. At least two sizes too big and accounting for thick socks. The fit is sloppy in the width too, far too much movement. The felt will compress in time too. Needs an additional layer of thick felt between liner and sole as the feel of the ground is too much. Lace quality is bad too. Sole grip is brilliant and leather seems good. Sort these thing out and these boots could be really great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, comfortable, and warm. I'm not a professional reviewer by any standard, but wanted to take the time to say I think these boots are great. Instant comfort, I love the look of the leather, the laces are secured by large, easy-to-thread metal circles rather than hooks that your lace slips off of so easily, and the wool insert is soft and warm. I work in the Alaska bush, on the tundra, and we have lots of minus 20 degree F days. These are what I would call my "warm day" boots, meaning from under freezing to about minus 10. On colder days than that, when I have to stand on the tarmac and wait for a single-prop plane to fetch me to another Native village, I rely on something more formidable like the Baffin Endurance Snow Boot with a small heating battery in a side pocket. But for "every day" slush and cold of plus 32 degrees F to minus 10 or so, these Sorels are hardy enough, and I like the look much more than the Baffin trompers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from true North... strong and free I live in Regina, Saskatchewan Canada. Home of REAL cold weather. I ordered these boots because I like to go for a walk in the evening; regardless of the weather. Tonight it's -32C and I'm just back from a 45 min walk. My feet are not only warm, they're hot! These are probably the best cold weather boots I've ever worn. Comfortable for walking and great traction on snow and ice. As for the fit, I took everyone's advice and ordered a size smaller (8 vs the 9 I usually wear). I would say a half size was probably enough to downsize. They're a little snug but still fit. Highly recommend these boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Boot These are my first Sorel boots. I must say that they are much better than expected. Very comfortable and warm and they look great. These are really for cold or snow. If you wear them on a warmer day (say 40 degrees) your feet will be hot. The size is true. I tried on someone else sorels (A different type) and found them tight. I ordered a 1/2 size bigger but should have just got my size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These boots last I purchased a pair of Sorel boots 29 years ago to prepare for the Michigan winter. Snowmobiling, hunting, ice fishing you name it, and I have been using them ever since. The old boots are shabby but serviceable, but I thought I would treat myself to a new pair. I truly love my new Caribou boots. Since I am 71 years old, I have every reason to believe the boots will outlast me. Oh well, I love them anyway.

While shoveling the snow my feet never got cold and I didn't slip and slide. So happy that I bought these boots!
