Rated 4 out of 5 by Great boot, but runs small I love the look of this boot! I walk to class in the winter in Wisconsin so I was looking for a tall boot that would keep my feet warm and dry. They do run a little small, as I saw in the previous reviews, so I won't be wearing thick wool socks, but I like them over all. August 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Winter Boots I love these boots...not only are they warm, and waterproof, they look great... August 9, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful, if only slightly imperfect I generally am a true 7.5 in most shoes I purchase, though I wear a size 8 in running shoes. Although the product description says they run slightly small, I find that these boots actually run slightly larger than I anticipated. I went ahead and ordered a 7.5, and found that even when wearing a thick pair of snowboarding socks, I get a little bit of heel lift when walking - more so when running, but since these boots were meant for deep snow, I don't think I'll be running around in them too much. The heel pocket is just slightly too deep, but I don't think chafe will be an issue due to thick socks. My feet are also on the wide side, but the toe box has plenty of room. They are loose enough to wiggle my toes in and just feel the tip of the shoe. The toe box is almost perfect, and isn't too tight or loose on the sides. You could probably fit a thin liner inside, or an additional thin pair of socks, but I don't think it would warrant going a 1/2 a size down. I feel those would be on the edge of too tight. They are pretty comfortable as is, just a little loose in some areas as mentioned. These shoes are definitely hefty, and I think they will be great in snowy conditions (though who knows when CA will see that again, judging by this year's snowfall). The general feel is very similar to snowboarding boots, though they are looser and comfier at the calf. They are easy to take on and off, and the peatmoss is beautiful. They are more greenish than the brown shown in the product photo (hence the "peatmoss", I assume). The construction feels sturdy, smooth, and well made, though I could see that if you weren't careful with them, some of the finer details might come apart like some of the reviews said. I wouldn't use excessive force on any of the components, but with normal use, they should hold up just fine and survive the regular amount of wear and tear any other shoe might in harsh weather conditions. Overall, a great combination of form and function. If they work out, I will buy some Sorels for my boyfriend :) I am glad I bought them, and will be wearing them next snowboarding season during my après-ski adventures! March 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfy and warm! There boots are outstanding! Living in upstate New York- snow is quite abundant and there boots kept my feet warm and dry and were also very comfy to walk around in! Love my Sorels! March 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by In love! I ordered my shoes online and within three days, my shoes were delivered to my front door. As soon as they came in, I immediately wore them for a night on the town. For the past month, central NY has seen plenty of precipitation(snow) and subzero temperatures. Even in subzero temps (-27), my legs were sweating with my boots on. Superb insulation and stylish. For the last two weeks, I have enjoyed wearing my boots! March 11, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Buckle broke before I left my house I was so excited to get these boots. When I put them on, the buckle fell off. It was basically taped to the strap and not sewn. So disappointed. March 8, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Didn't hold up I got my boots on 2/12/15 right in the middle of Boston's three huge blizzards in a month. I wore them right away and almost every day for 2 weeks. Within a week a snap on the side of my right boot had broken, and the snap on the other side isn't long for this world. I absolutely love these boots so it is a major disappointment that the snaps broke so quickly, I have had them less than a month! I also wish I had ordered my slze instead of half size larger. It was written that the boots ran small but I found them to be too big. March 4, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not warm boots!! I am very disappointed with these boots. They are listed as being appropriate for -32 degrees, however they aren't even appropriate for 20 degrees. I live in New England and these boots did not keep my feet warm at all. I purchased the Premium to ensure the warmth I needed for our very tough winters, but that wasn't the case at all. Very disappointed in these boots. Will be returning. March 3, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Shredded my heels Got these for my birthday and they're awful, sent them back today. Rubbed my achilles tendons bloody and raw just from walking around campus. I love Sorel but these were a major disappointment. I'm hoping to buy another pair if they ever make a style that doesn't rub your heels so badly. Comfort is key in areas with lake effect snow, I need boots I can walk around in for long distances, all day. These are not those shoes. February 28, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Warm! I love these boots. Unlike others I found these run big. I wear a 7 1/2 running shoe down to a 7 for dress shoes. The 7 1/2 was so big, hat I went down to a 6 and they fit perfect. The other thing other people had mentioned as a down side was that the snaps broke on these. Despite their reviews I just imagined it wasn't the case for all. Unfortunately I was wrong. The first day I wore them the snap ripped apart. Luckily there's another snap inside on the liner itself, so I jusy attached it to that one instead. Comes down to fashion vs. function on those. And they are just not functional. The above mentions are pretty much the only reason I gave them 4 stars. Other than that they do exactly what I bought them for: which is to keep my feet warm and dry. 5 stars for that!!
