How to Measure Your Foot

  • Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this standing and wearing socks
  • Measure the length (cm) straight from your longest toe to the back of your foot using a ruler or measuring tape.
  • Use the chart to find your size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stayed Warm and Dry I bought these to wear on a snow day up near Mount Hood in Oregon. I normally wear a 7 1/2 in most brands. Before purchasing I decide to go try them on at a local department store. The 7 1/2 was too tight on the top of my foot because I have slightly higher than normal arches. I order the 8 and they fit perfectly. When I was out in the snow It was about 28 degrees out and snowing lightly. I wore two pairs of socks one a pair of snowboarding socks and one pair of thick wool socks. I only ever got cold when I wasn't moving much. (Also, I should mention that my feet tend to always be cold so you may not need to wear two pairs of heavy socks.) I wore these two days in a row one snow shoeing and one walking in the snow and snowmobiling. So far I am very happy with them, they kept my feet warm and dry. If you plan on being in the snow more often I would recommend maybe getting the Joan of the Arctic boot since this boot is made for light snow.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Inside Lining I found that the lining of this boot was not well attached to the boot. It was moving when you put the boot on and took it off. After only a limited amount of wear the inside lining tore. The boot is now unwearable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Some design problems, as I see it. I purchased this boot as I was moving to an area with significant snowfall. My goal was to have a tall, warm boot for everyday use and to walk back and forth to work. The problems: 1.) The design of the heel doesn't seem to work. It is tilted in at the top (quite a bit) and rubs the back of your heel....the problem is that this part of the boot is made of a hard rubber material and it can be quite uncomfortable. Tightening the laces doesn't seem to help. I believe if Sorel designed the heel with less of a 'slant' it could be a decent boot. 2.) They are almost too 'sloppy' on the feet. It seems this is not just a Sorel problem, but a winter boot issue in general. The result is that a 2-5 km. walk is not comfortably done. 3.) The white trim on the bottom (mine are black and white) stains very quickly to a dirty yellow colour, which I seem unable to clean off. 4.) The footbed is not great. It has absolutely no give at all. Some decent insoles would help the comfort. The pros: 1.) It is reasonably warm...no problems to -20, especially if you are moving. 2.) The height is great. Works in snow but is not so high that they are hard to get on and off. 3.) The style is nice, for a casual winter boot. Overall, overpriced (by $30-40) for the quality and design in my opinion. I would value these at approximately $130-140. I will try a different brand next year.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ouch! Finally decided to buck up and spend the money to get a good pair of snow boots this year. I've had my eye on these for a few months and was so excited to finally get them, until I started wearing them around. I have never had a pair of boots hurt my ankles as much as these have. I have tried different socks, loosening them, tightening them and nothing is working. They dig into my Achilles' tendon so badly I can't stand to wear them. I love the look of them and other than that they are wonderful. But I can't stand to walk around on my toes and have to tend to blisters on my heels for the next week :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pure Rubbish Very expensive and don't keep your feet warm. Don't buy these - not worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So warm! I bought these for my trip to Iceland and they were perfect! Previous reviews recommended I size up so I did and they fit well. I am a true size 8 but the 9's were perfect. I only wore a shortie socks with these and my feet stayed very warm and dry. My feet are always cold so this was such a great experience. These were the only shoes I brought with me on my trip. We did a lot of walking and they never hury. No need to break them in! Love these boots!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So good at first....then what happened? Bought the boots mid December and loved the slim look and warmth. After wearing for about 3 weeks the boot started to cut into my foot in the same place at the at heel. Thankfully the store took them back no questions asked because they've seen it before. Overpriced for the workmanship...
