How to Measure Your Foot

  • Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this standing and wearing socks
  • Measure the length (cm) straight from your longest toe to the back of your foot using a ruler or measuring tape.
  • Use the chart to find your size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really wonderful, fully waterproofed, warm boots I was lucky to get these boots on sale because I sure couldn't afford the regular price. Having said that, I am really happy with them. They are completely waterproof, and I know this because I have tested them more than once by putting them in a pail of water. At one point I thought there was a small leak, but it turns out that they are so waterproof that they just captured and trapped a day's worth of foot perspiration. Oh, and they are very warm, so if you wear them when it is even slightly above freezing your feet will sweat :) With regards to the other criticisms, yes, they are hard to get on at first. Sorel seems to have minimized the profile of these necessarily bulky boots in order to make them more fashionable looking. However, I found that after a week of wearing them they became much easier to slip on. I have no complaints at this point. They do run small, though, and I can only wear the thinnest nylon socks with them. That is not a problem though because I think I could be barefoot in these boots and still be quite warm even here in a Montreal, Canada winter. My feet are slightly wide, and at first these boots were so snug that I thought I would have to return them. But I toughed it out for a week, and the footbed seems to have expanded to fit my feet much more comfortably. I recommend giving them a few days to stretch before abandoning them because the snugness in the footbed and at the ankle when you slip them on does not seem to be a permanent issue. They are also very pretty, but you can see that in the picture. The laces are very tough, and the seams seem very tight. Water beads over the seams (I know this from dunking them in a pail for several minutes), so there should be little leakage in them that could cause deterioration in the long term. The craftsmanship seems to be very good, and I think these are made for durability. I think these boots will last many years and that if they need any repairs a few years down the line that these will be cheap and easily effected. My only quarrel is with the treads. The treads on the sole are great for snow, but don't trust these boots on ice or other slippery surfaces. If you trust them too much you are bound to get hurt from falling. I would have taken one star off because this is a serious oversight in the design of winter boots made for Canada (icy sidewalks are a fact of life for us in the winter), but I didn't because I thought the other reviews were unfairly critical. So yea, gorgeous boots, very, very warm and fully waterproofed, stitching is excellent, and the quality of the materials looks very good. Snug fit, especially at first, but keep in mind that this is to make them look prettier and that they do stretch to accommodate your foot size in a few days. The treads are only moderately good, so you will need some crampons if you face ice every day. I'd also wish for bit of a heel and some arch support, but they are surprisingly comfortable as they are. I've walked for hours in these boots, and my feet don't hurt at all afterwards. I have slightly fallen arches, too, so that is really saying something. I definitely recommend these boots if you are looking for something very practical and also pretty. I am not disappointed in the least (aside from the treads!)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful boots These boots are stunning. The only reason I give them 3 stars. They are soooooooooo hard to get on. The way they are made it’s painful to put them on. Once on they are perfect. I love the way the look I will keep them but I wish they were easier to get into. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can't fit foot beyond the shaft of boot I have a couple pairs of Sorel boots and I consistently wear a 9.5 which is what I ordered for this pair. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get my foot past the shaft of the boot. It is too tight. The boots are beautiful. Am so sad that I have to return them.
