disappointed in boot
bought boot at Christmas time..husband slowly wore to break in but about 5th time wearing the front of boot separated from the sole making them leak. Also during the REAL cold weather (10 below and colder) they did not keep his feet warm at all. very disappointed in product. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Teen's first Sorels
I ordered these boots for my teenage grandson for Christmas and HE LOVES THEM!! His boots were a hit. I thought he might wear them once in a while if out in the cold for an extended period of time, but he's wearing them every day now!! The rest of us here have had Sorels for years and he's finally part of the club. Based on previous comments I ordered a half size smaller than usual and they fit perfect! Awesome product
The product in general is great, love the thermal lining features. The only small issue is if you have wider ankles it makes it a little difficult to get your foot in at first but once it’s in the boot fits. It would also make it easier if the liner was stitched in so it doesn’t move when putting your foot in the boot. Overall it’s a great product and I would definitely order from you again!!

Ideal snow boot
I’ve been looking for a quality snow boot for a couple years. You definitely get what you pay for with these boots. I live in West Michigan where the winters can be brutal. I look for any excuse to go outside now cause these boots are awesome! My feet are always dry and never get cold. They’re a tad heavy, but I wouldn’t expect anything less with the quality these boots have. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Snow shoveling boot
I purchased the Caribou XT and the MEN'S 1964 PREMIUM T CVS together. I prefer the Caribou XT over the 1964's, the XT are a larger fit which required me to puchase a size 8 instead of size 10. However in the 1964's I was able to do size 10 no problem. The XT warmth and comfort is totally ideal for when I shovel snow in -30°C (the main reason I purchased them).
I'm so pleased with the functionality of the XT that I now use them as my walk about winter boot instead of the 1964 premium to CVS ones which were their intended purchase purpose.

Cold Feet
I use these boots for winter hiking and snowshoeing in southwest Montana. I immediately bought wool felt footbeds to improve the fit and warmth of the boot. I have still found repeatedly that once the temperature falls below about 0F to 5F my feet do not stay warm. There is not enough material under the foot (that is why I bought the footbeds) and the liners are too thin.

So Disappointed!
I purchased this product for my son who works for our county's parks department. He needs a rugged, warm, waterproof boot. He typically wears a size 10 in shoes and boots and all the reviews we read on this said that it was "true to size". NO WAY! The boot is way too big - probably 2 sizes too big. I am guessing that this could have been labeled incorrectly. I plan to exchange this boot, but I am unsure of what size to order.

fit is much larger than normal size
Buyers be warned that fit is about 1 inch longer than other sorel boots of same size.

Warmest Boots So Far
I've been looking for an end-all be-all winter boot for over a year. After taking suggestions from friends on Facebook, I finally settled on the Caribou XT. With a significant snowfall tonight, I finally got to try them out. They are, by far, the warmest pair of boots I've ever owned. Between shoveling snow and loading my car for a photo shoot, I was outside for around an hour. I feel like it could have been six, and my feet would have been fine. They're comfy, too! They do run about a half size large, but this accommodates a thick boot sock nicely (though, with the insulation, you don't really need one).

Too big
These are great boots but like the other reviewers, I was pretty disappointed in the size. They feel like they're at least a full size too big, if not two. I would recommend these but go at least a size down.

Sizing
Like another review, I wear 10.5-11 and the 10 fits me perfect. I don't see the sense of trashing the boot when ask you need to do is go try some on and get your size. Beyond that, I haven't had the pleasure to use them yet, however if they are even close to the others I own, wonderful boots. If the liner loses its water resistance, in site sorel will fix or replace, and I, personally would use water proofer on the exterior anyway. Just my two cents...nice boot, light and warm. For star, only because of price...

Waterproofing fails withing days
The waterproofing on the boots is a film on the inside of the fabric uppers. During the first weekend I wore them the film peeled off of the fabric, particularly where if flexed, on the sides near where rubber foot. Once the film is gone water flows right through the fabric.
I will admit that the boots were quite warm, although Sorel doesn't carry replacement liners for them, which reduces the advantage of a replaceable liner.

Very Disapointed
A friend of mine recommended Sorel. After looking through the site, I hand picked these based on the look and reviews. I wear a size 9 and have always purchased size 9 wide. This boot feels like a 10. Way too big. I work for a transportation company in Boston and I'm always in and out. The past two weeks have been horrific in Boston. Always in the teens. My feet are always cold and damp. I am totally dissatisfied with the boot and would not recommended.

Does what it is supose to
I am in love. The boot is fantastic at doing its job, keeping a foot warm and dry. The only problem I have is the liner wants to move around, but that is easily fixed. Great traction in the snow and on ice. Hands down the best snow boot I've ever owned!

Caribou XT
This boot is replacing a Sorel Mark 80 boot that was over 30 years old. I am not disappointed. The boot is warm as toast. Went Ice fishing at -5. My feet were never cold. I would like a more snug fit around the ankle. Otherwise, it's a top notch product.

Poor protection against water and cold.
These boots have not protected me much against bad weather and my feet get wet. It was worst in my right foot, all wet and my sock all soaked and wet.
I strongly do not recommend buying these boots. Since I have been wearing them, I can not return them no more.

Great Boot
Great. Incredibly warm. Don't need to wear heavy wool socks to stay warm. Does run big. I wear a 10.5-11.0 in a running shoe and the size 10 in this fit perfect.
