How to Measure Your Foot

  • Place your feet flat on a piece of paper and mark your longest toe and the back of your foot. It's best to do this standing and wearing socks

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very much not impressed Having recently moved to Northern Michigan, I was excited to have a reason to purchase Sorel snow boots. That enthusiasm has dampened over the past 6 months. I have several issues with these boots. 1) Difficult to get on/off. 2) Warmth rated to -25 F? These boots can't keep my feet warm driving to work in a heated car. 3) Uncomfortable, clunky and heavy. After developing friction sores on my ankle bone, I learned that the seams on jeans must be placed just so, as to not rub on the bone. Also, it took awhile to break in the back of the boot, which painfully rubbed into my calves. And the boot is not too small, I sized up to allow for extra sock and pant room. My outdoor hiking boots (separate brand) are vastly superior to these Sorel boots as far as comfort, warmth, weight and ease of on/off. As far as the positive aspects, the Sorel boots are more socially acceptable to wear around town. In the limited amount of snow walking I have done in the boots (around town), they have been waterproof. The quality seems good and the tongue of the boot is gusseted to the top of the laces, which is a positive feature. I would not purchase this particular style of boot again. Perhaps other styles are better but I have no experience with them. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots for city and country I bought these boots before moving to Northern Ontario in January and they have been a lifesaver! The shearling cuff has been amazing at keeping my lower legs and feet dry when wading through deep snow or clearing off the car. They are incredibly warm and sturdy on top of being waterproof.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Your feet will bleed! I wanted to love these boots so bad, but I just couldn't. After receiving these boots around Christmas, I was so excited to walk to class in them, but after walking only 10 minutes my heels were already rubbed raw (I had double socks on too!). Thinking it was just them needing to be broken in, I kept trying to wear them throughout the next couple of snowy, wet weeks. However, every time I wore these boots, I would wind up with cuts and blisters all over my heels and Achilles area. Really sad because these boots are warm and waterproof, but not comfortable. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I Bought these boots in December 2017 and after a couple weeks of wear one of the snaps holding the leather strap at the top of the boot broke. Since then the other three have also broken. I have now only been wearing the boots for two months and they need to be in for repairs. Otherwise the boot is warm and comfortable in the cold Ottawa winters. It's just unfortunate that i'll have to do without them for the next 6 weeks of winter while I send them in under warranty

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! (+ Some tips) I recently moved to a Midwest cold climate and ordered these to prepare. They are AWESOME. They are beautiful on, super warm, super protective against tons of snow, and easy to get around in (once you break them in!). I would definitely caution against ordering them 1/2 a size too big, though. I'm a 7 and I ordered a 7.5 (because of the reviews suggesting that they run small) and had to exchange them -- there was no way they would work even with big socks. Also: be prepare to have to break them in! I was surprised since they're so bulky, but they gave me blisters for the first week. Also: they are, perhaps predictably, HEAVY. They take some getting used to! But, overall, such a great solution to a cold climate. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features! Favorite snow boot! I live in Missoula, MT and the weather here changes every 5 minutes. Wonderful having a universal boot to wear. Fits true to size, comfortable, great colors, and definitely warm. Tie loose for a slip on boot or tight if you're going on an adventure! I would highly recommend this boot to anyone in search of one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't keep you warm; shearling is inferior I'm a size 8.5, I got a size 9 knowing that I wanted to have extra room for wearing wool socks. I went to Whistler where it was -10 Celsius at the time, wore technical wool socks, and even then my toes felt quite cold. I was doing a light-moderate hike in the trails. Had it been colder there, I don't feel confident that I would be leaving with my toes functioning. The trails were mostly clear of snow and ice so it really didn't make sense that I felt coldness in the toes and feet. The shearling are not of quality as the wool is spread out and some areas are sparse and bare. I wore this one day and the shearling started to come apart. I went with this model over the faux fur believing that it would be a little more durable. The grey colour of the suede rubbed onto the cream coloured shearling but was able to clean off the patch, there's a grey tinge in some areas now. The button on the tabs serves no real function because they unbutton too easily and on the one that was tighter, the rivet almost came apart and is no longer secured to the suede. If I could return them, I definitely would.
