How to Measure Your Foot

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boot I love love these boots. I usually wear a 10 size in boots including my previous purchases in sorel boots but these boots do fit smaller so definitely go up a 1/2 a size, 10.5 was perfect. Others have mentioned not being able to walk long periods in these boots ? I’ve had no issues on 4 hour plus walks, I could see there being a problem if you bought the wrong size because like I said these boots fit smaller. Overall a great quality boot, not bulky, very comfortable, kept my feet nice and dry in the rain and light snow. The only thing I didn’t like was the laces, I bought in cattail and the laces aren’t a solid black, they have a little shimmer to them, but I can easily replace them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I want to love these boots I’ve been checking out these boots for over a month now and finally bought them for my birthday. I went to a trunk show so that I could see them in person before buying. Unfortunately I couldn’t try on my size and so I had to try on a similar boot. I bought the 9.5 because I usually wear a 9 or 9.5, I tried them on with thick socks as well to make sure. I got the boots and loved them however the way the back inner lining is stitched together makes them uncomfortable. There isn’t enough lining to block the fitted form in the back so it cuts into my foot just below my ankles. I can feel the seam every time I walk. I thought it was because I hadn’t adjusted the laces, and after doing so it helped a bit... but not enough. I was hoping that after breaking them in they would be great, but I don’t think I can even get that far. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE them, just a bit small I've been searching for the perfect combat boot that's both utilitarian and attractive, not too bulky, and not too thin and chintzy. These boots are perfect! I do normally wear a size 8.5 and my other Sorel boots are 8.5, but I had to go a half size up for these boots. In my opinion, I wouldn't fear going a half size or full size up on these boots -- they aren't bulky, so I don't think they'd make your feet look too large. I decided to get the hiker green and I had no idea how awesomely subtle the color is. It's actually almost black when indoors and when outdoors, it's a really cool subtle green. I really dig it! Love these boots and I love my other Sorel boots. I'll be doing all my boot shopping here from now on as long as the quality remains great. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute boots but not made for walking I purchased these boots for my London/Dublin trip. These boots are very cute and protected my feet from the rain. However, I was not able to walk all day with these boots. After approximately 3 hours of wearing them, the boots began to feel very tight. By the end of the day, every step would hurt. I also developed a blister on my foot. I usually wear size 6.5/7. I ordered a 7. I wore these boots with medium thick socks. This may be the reason why they felt tight on me. Lastly, these boots protected me from light/medium rain. I did not experienced them in heavy rain. I do not know how well they would protect my feet during heavy rain. Bottom line: these are cute boots to wear on a day of light walking with light/medium rain. Do not wear these boots if you have to walk more than 4 hours a day. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile shoe I really love these. I’ve been looking for combat boots but like that these are more functional than most for a similar price. Like people keep saying, they run small. I almost always wear a 6 in Sorel, lately a 6.5, and ordered these in a 7 after reading the reviews. They fit comfortably and are not too wide or long. I love them. I wear them with jeans and leggings and even a skirt. Very happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great shoes if you get the right fit I had been eyeing these boots for a long time but was cautious about ordering them because there was only one review and I hate the hassle of returning things through the mail. I decided to take the other reviewers advice (and also phoned-a-friend who works at Columbia to figure out exactly *how* small this shoe was) and can confirm, the shoe runs unconventionally small. I typically wear a 8.5 or 9. I would suggest going a half size up from the largest shoe size you typically wear, as a 9.5 fits me perfectly. The shoe itself is exactly as pictured! One pleasant surprise is that there's actually a zipper on the side to get you in and out of the boot, which wasn't immediately obvious to me from the pictures. I got the boots in cattail, as I really like the brass lace holders at the top. I'm planning to jazz these up a bit with some different laces. The ones that come with the shoes are nice but I think it would look cooler with some patterned laces. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
